America's Most Wanted Criminals and Fugitives
Throughout history humanity has been obsessed with the criminal world, even romanticizing it to an extent. What attracts us to brutal criminal stories? Perhaps it is the thought of how a human being can perform such acts that intrigue us, or perhaps just because it is out of the ordinary. The human fascination has culminated in best selling crime mystery novels, documentaries, and movies. What we think is only capable of being thought of by scriptwriters is being committed by the very worst of criminals.
Thankfully the US government has succeeded in halting the majority of the more gruesome crimes that we have heard occurred in the past. We no longer have mobsters ruling the streets of cities without fear of imprisonment. This is in part due to the development of new surveillance techniques, genetic technology and other forms of law protection. Criminals now know that if they commit a heinous act, they will most likely be caught. This, of course, does not stop people that expect to be caught or have no value for their own life.
There are the select few that over the years have evaded capture and are still in hiding. These criminals are wanted for any number of crimes, but the ones that will get you onto the list of most wanted are particularly gruesome felonies such as kidnapping, murder, and rape. The Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) also has a list of most wanted criminals which includes mostly heads of cartels that are particularly brutal.
This article goes through the 31 most wanted men in America according to the FBI, DEA and the US Marshal’s Office.
