Andrea Barber is an American actress born on 3rd July 1976. She is famous as “Kimmy Gibbler" in ABC's Full House sitcom as well as Netflix's Fuller House, a sequence from the same sitcom. She is also one of the youngest high school graduates from La Serna, California. She received Whittier College’s English degree in 1999 and is an MA holder in Women's Studies from England’s University of York. She returned to Wittier College as an OIP director.
 
Career

Barber's first soap opera was “Days of Our Lives”, which played in succession between 1982 and 1986. As mentioned earlier, her most promising and unforgettable role was of "Kimmy Gibbler" and aired between 1987 and 1995. In this sitcom, she played the role of D.J. Tanner's best friend. After finishing her role in the sitcom, Barber retired from her acting career.

In 2012, she started working once again and played a role in the “It's F*ckin Late” sketch. The character she played was with her former co-star of Full House, Dave Coulier.

As mentioned earlier, she took a break from her acting career after this role and came back in 2012 as "Kimmy Gibbler" in Funny or Die It's F*Ckin' Late and as a main lead in the 2016 to 2019 series Fuller House with the same name as in the Funny or Die. In 2017, we also saw her as Andrea in the Hollywood Darlings series How Christine Got Her Groove Back and as herself and as a guest panelist on The Talk.

She won two individual Soap Opera Digest Award in 1984 and 1985. They were given to her for being an outstanding role in Days of Our Lives. She also won two Young Artist Awards in 1990 and 1991 for her supporting and re-occurring roles in Full House.

Personal Life

Barber's personal life included her marriage to Jeremy Rytky in 2002 and divorce from him in 2014, two years after she returned with her reprised Netflix role. The couple gave birth to two children.
