Junior season: Wesleyan and Giles were ranked the number two team in the country during his junior season by USA Today. He had a career-high score of 38 points and 19 rebounds when his team defeated the Northside Christian Academy. on 14th November 2014. The player grabbed 14 rebounds and had 24 points on 24th December when his team defeated the Trinity High School. He had a score of 12 rebounds and 22 points on 28th December when his team won the game against the Carlisle School. The Slam MAgazine included Giles' name to the Summer All-American Team in August 2015.

Professional basketball career

Giles has been playing for the Sacramento Kings from 2017 to till date. The Portland Trail Blazers chose him on 22nd June 2017 in the NBA draft of 2017 as the twentieth overall pick. Later on, the rights of the player were traded on draft night to the franchise Sacramento Kings. He would be rested on the entire NBA Summer League of 2017.

It was revealed on 18th January 2018 that he would not be taking part in the gameplay of NBA during the season of 2017-2018.
