The cause of suspension was his involvement in numerous illegal incidents. In 2014, Kenny signed a contract with the team St. Louis Rams for a period of one year.

He extended this contract with two more years in 2015. This worked well for him as he reached 1000 yards in the 2016 season.

He signed a four-year contract with the Cleveland Browns in 2017 but terminated it soon after. This termination was done by Brett himself.

Britt played the 2018 season under the New England Patriots after signing a two-year contract with them. He was released by them in August 2018. Over the years, the player has kind of failed to keep his popularity.
