Malcolm Brogdon, born on December 11, 1992, in Atlanta, GA, USA is an American professional basketball player who plays for National Basketball Association in the team Indiana Pacers. He plays on the positions of the attacking or point guard. He was selected for the 2016 NBA draft in the second round under the 36th number. At the student level for four seasons, he played for the Virginia Cavaliers Club. In 2016, he was named the basketball player of the year at the Atlantic Coast Conference, as well as the best ACC defensive player, thus becoming the first conference player to receive these two awards in one season. He was also awarded the NBA Rookie of the Year Award in the 2016/2017 season.

Brogdon started playing for Virginia in 2011, but he had to miss the next season due to a serious foot injury. He is known as one of the players responsible for the success of the team in the seasons 2013-2014 and 2014-2015. This season saw the club taking first place in the conference. In the 2013-2014 season, Brogdon averaged 12.7 points per game, made 5.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists. In 2015, he was included in the second all-American national team of the NCAA.

In July 2015, Brogdon participated in the training camp of the US basketball team and also represented the United States at the Pan American Games in Toronto, where his team managed to win a bronze medal.

On June 23, 2016, Brogdon was selected in the NBA Draft at No. 36 by the Milwaukee Bucks Team. On July 30, the player officially signed a contract with the team.

Brogdon played his first game for the Bucks on October 26, 2016, chalking up 8 points against Charlotte Hornets and making 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 21 minutes. November 1, he earned 14 points and made 4 steals in a winning game against the New Orleans Pelicans. On December 23, while playing with Washington, Brogdon, in 29 minutes on the floor, realized all 7 shots, earning 17 points, and also made 7 assists.

On December 31, Malcolm Brogdon made his first triple-double of his career, which consisted of 15 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, in a match against the Chicago Bulls. On January 8, 2017, in a game against Wizards, Brogdon reached his best score for points per game - 22. On January 25, he was called to the NBA rookie match as a player in the US team.

Malcolm's father, Mitchell, works as a lawyer; and mother, Jann Adams is a former chairman of the psychology department of one of Atlanta's colleges. Brogdon's mother and father divorced when the boy was 11 years old. Malcolm has two older brothers, Gino and John.
