Born on December 10, 1985, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Matt Forte is a former American football running back. In the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft, he played college football in Tulane and was selected by the Chicago Bears.

He is also one of the three players in the prestigious "1000-yard rushing, 100-catch season" club along with LaDainian Tomlinson of the Chargers and Christian McCaffrey.

 Forte is popularly known as a dual-threat athlete who can earn yards both as a rusher and a receiver. Before playing for the New York Jets, he spent a couple of years with the Wolves.

Career

Matt Forte did his graduation from Slidell High School, Louisiana. When he was a junior, he had a pretty impressive track record of having run for 1057 yards.

His total rushing included 8 touchdowns, 30 passes, and 3 receiving touchdowns. He continued his excellent track record in senior class as well.

During his 10-year long football career, he played for two different teams, namely Chicago Bears and New York Jets.

Finally, on February 28, 2018, he announced his retirement from the NFL, which made fans sad.

Present Life

Matt Forte is married to Danielle Daniels, with whom he has two children, Nala and Matthew. When he was playing for Chicago Bears, he and his family were living in Mettawa, Illinois.
