Richard Sherman’s football career started as a wide receiver at Stanford Cardinal. He played as a cornerback in his junior year before he was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in 2011.

The Seattle Seahawks is where he truly made some of his bold early achievements, leading with 4 interceptions, 53 tackles, and 17 pass deflections and securing the 16th rank among all the cornerbacks that qualified for the team.

 This secured him a well-earned place in the 2011 All-Rookie team. 2013 says him at his peak, earning him titles of All-Pro cornerback, Pro Bowler, and a Super Bowl Champion!

In 2014 he became the highest-paid cornerbacks in the history fo NFL after signing an extended contract with the Seattle Seahawks. His contributions to these Super Bowl XLVIII win as part of the Seattle Seahawks was one of his biggest career achievements.

On the 9th of March 2018, the Seattle Seahawks released him well before his contract owing to an injury. The next day Sherman signed a 3 years contract with the San Francisco 49ers, an incredible first for an athlete to secure a one-of-a-kind contract.
