Travis Frederick joined Big Foot High School located in Walworth, Wisconsin. His birthplace is Sharon, Wisconsin and his birth date is 18th March 1991. His height is 6 ft 4 inches with a bodyweight of 145 kg.
He got married to Kaylee. Tyler and Collin are his two brothers. He achieved a degree in computer science and computer engineering at Wisconsin University.
At the 2008 ‘BDN’ Invite, he made a throw of 15.23 meters and gained 2nd position in the shot put.
At the 2008 WIAA Sectional Championships, he made a throw of 49,30 meters and gained silver 2nd position in the discus throw. Rivals.com selected him as the No.83 offensive tackle prospect in a three-star recruit.
In 2009, Fredrick started to play football for the Wisconsin Badgers Football Team after joining the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
He played against Northern Illinois at the center position and started a season-opening game regarding an offensive line. For this reason, he became the 1st true freshman within the history of the Wisconsin Badgers Football Team.
In Week 2, he got an injury. But he came back and played the final two games at the left guard position. In 2010, Wisconsin coaching staff declared his redshirting to preserve Frederick’s NCAA Eligibility for one year.
In his junior season, he started to play at center position when Peter Knox departed due to the 2013 NFL Draft. The Pro Football Weekly selected him for the first team of All-American.
Mel Kiper Junior of ESPN was the best player in the center position in Frederick’s class. So, Travis Frederick entered the 2013 NFL Draft as an underclassman.
The Dallas Cowboys traded down the 1st round of the 2013 NFL Draft in exchange for a 3rd round pick with the San Francisco 49ers.
The selected Fredrick after the drafting of eight linemen before him in the 1st round. Their decision was criticized by the media.

Travis Frederick was named to play football for the NFL All-Rookie Team and start every game positioning at the center. It made him the 1st rookie in the franchise history.
