Captive Woman Slips Note to Clerk Her Boyfriend Beats Her

Jeremy Floyd, a 39-year-old Florida resident, was arrested after he allegedly held his girlfriend captive for two days and beat her. According to authorities, Floyd beat his 28-year-old girlfriend on Wednesday and held her in their apartment at gun point for two days.

After two days, Floyd's girlfriend convinced him to go the veterinarian office to get their dog checked. While at the DeLand Animal Hospital, Floyd's girlfriend went to the restroom and on her way back she slipped a note to the employee behind the counter.

The note read "Call the cops. My boyfriend is threatening me. He has a gun. Please don’t let him know.”. The employee did as she asked and moments later, DeLand police officers arrived at the scene and arrested Floyd, who allegedly had a loaded 9mm gun in his waistband.

Floyd was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, false imprisonment and battery and also for firearm charges.
