The Utah County Jail currently has a total capacity of 1092 inmates. The housing area consists of seven units for female inmates and fifteen housing units for male inmates.

All the housing units include concrete modules comprising a dormitory-style living area or in a cell. Each housing area has an exercise yard that accessible. The Housing Division staff also provides individuals who are incarcerated in jail with tools to re-enter society and become an active member of the community. The Utah County Jail offers its inmates access to the following services and programs
1. Mail - All inmates have access to mail services. They receive incoming and outgoing correspondence that goes through the U.S. Postal Service system.
2. Personal Visitation - The Utah County Jail conducts scheduled visitation to allow inmates to visit their family and friends. All personal visits will be done through video. The frequency and length of visits will be regulated to provide for the order and security of the facility.
3. Access to Courts and Counsel - The Utah County Jail administration and staff uphold the right of all inmates to have access to attorneys, courts and their authorized representatives.
4. Inmate Reading Material - There is reading material available to all inmates. The reading materials are provided for inmate recreation and information and will include educational, reference, religious and leisure reading material.

5. Physical Activity for Inmates - Inmates are given the opportunity to exercise daily.
6. Working Inmates - As many inmates as possible will be given the opportunity to work based on their classification and the needs of the facility. Qualified inmates will be assigned to meaningful work assignments consistent with their ability, interest, medical status, and the needs of the facility.
7. On-Unit Treatment - An on-unit substance abuse treatment program will be implemented within the jail to provide intensive treatment to inmates.
8. Adult Education Program - Adult education classes will be offered to inmates to give them the opportunity to improve their educational level during incarceration. Educational programs are voluntary; however, inmates are strongly encouraged to participate.

Visits to inmates of Utah County Jail are possible three times a day from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 10.30 am, 1 pm to 3.30 and 7 pm to 9 pm. This does not apply to attorneys and legal representatives who are authorized to visit their clients daily between 8 am and 10 pm.

All visitors must arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled time of their visit and present a valid verifiable government-issued identification card to enter the facility. Visits cannot exceed 30 minutes.
Minors are only allowed to visit the first seven days of the month and must be accompanied by an adult guardian. They must not be left unaccompanied in the waiting room, visiting room or any other area.

All visitors are subject to a pat-down search of their person, an inspection of their belongings, and a metal scan search. Individuals refusing to cooperate with this procedure will not be admitted in the facility. No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted, and neither are electronic devices.

Inmates cannot receive incoming calls to the jail. If you need to get in touch with an inmate for an emergency, you must call (801) 851-4210 and leave the inmate's full name, as well as your name and telephone number. The inmate will be given your message.
