How to Register to Vote in Massachusetts?

The power to vote is a significant one as you are the one who chooses who runs the country. The first step to voting is to register yourself as a voter if you are a resident of the state of Massachusetts. Here are some things you need to know before you get started.

First things first along with being a resident of Massachusetts you need to be a citizen of the United States.

You also need to be 18 years of age before or on the day of the elections. If the case that you are turning 18 after the registration deadline but before the day of the elections you can still register yourself, but it has to be done before the deadline.

The registration has to be done 20 days before any primary and general election. This deadline also applies to change your address or your political party anytime.

In cases where you have moved within the state or if you have moved to the state from any other area you would have to re-register yourself. Massachusetts does not have any residency waiting period and can hence you can register as soon as you move into your new place.
