The warden of the Baldwin State Prison is Ronald Brawner. He is responsible for the management of 360 staff members and 925 close-security male offenders. Ronald Brawner has 28 years of experience in the field. His career with the Department began in 1991. He was a Correctional Officer at the Women’s Correctional Facility. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1994 at Pulaski State Prison. In that same year, he was promoted again to Lieutenant at Dodge State Prison. He transferred to Scott State Prison in 1996 and was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1997.
Ronald Brawner has an Associates degree in criminal justice, a Bachelor’s degree in business management from Brenau University. He is also on his way to earning a Master’s degree in organizational leadership from Brenau University. He has also completed Basic Correctional Officer Training, Performance Management Program, and Basic Management Training.
