Concord State Prison Information

Massachusetts Correctional Institution Concord or MCI Concord State prison opened its doors in 1878. The original Concord State prison was constructed in 1812. It was called New State Prison with General Chamberlain as its first warden. Located in Concord, this multi-security penitentiary holds 1,400 male inmates.
