The acting warden of the Donovan State Prison is Patrick Covello. He has been the warden of the prison since September 1st, 2018. He has had many years of experience. In 1987, he began his career with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation as a Correctional Officer at California Correctional Institution. He was promoted to Sergeant at Ironwood Stae Prison in 1995. In this way, he has promoted up the ladder until finally becoming the warden of the Donovan State Prison in 2018.
