In order to visit an offender incarcerated by the Indiana Department of Corrections, Indiana, you need to be on their visitation list. If they’ve added you to their list of approved visitors, you can send in your visitation application offline or online. Indiana Department of Corrections Mail and Visitation Rules

Visitation at IDOC facilities is governed by a set of uniform rules. Once your application for visitation has been approved, you may visit the prison facility. You will need to sign in on entering the prison and provide proof of I.D. The visitor will be examined for prohibited items and no such items will be allowed inside the visiting room. If there’s a facility for lockers, the visitor will be recommended to store their belongings there for the time duration of their inmate visit.

All visitors to any IDOC facility will be searched. Visitors need to be above the age of 18 to visit an inmate alone. The Indiana Department of Corrections, Indiana also permits video visitation following the same regulations. Visitors may have their visitation privileges revoked if they do not act in accordance with visitation rules.
