Located between Oklahoma City and Tulsa, JLCC is situated in an area of 256 acres. It is a minimum-security facility that houses around 820 male inmates. This particular facility is well known for its humanitarian approach in dealing with senior citizen inmates as well as physically disabled inmates.

The facility was initially started as a tuberculosis sanatorium for African-Americans in the year 1923. After a gap of two years in the year 1925, it was converted into Boley State School for Boys. In the year 1983, the school was closed by the state legislature and the existing property was handed over to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections who then converted it into a correctional facility.
Interestingly, this facility has been named after the Boley State School’s first superintendent – Mr. John H Lilley who was a very popular figure among the school children.

John Lilley Correctional Center inmate programs
JLCC is well known for providing lots of opportunities to the inmates in the form of educational and psychological training. If an inmate shows his willingness to learn newer things, then this facility and the staff help that inmate, to get ready for joining the mainstream society after finishing his prison sentence.
Under the Substance abuse treatment program, the inmates learn different ways so that they can stay away from their drug abuse past life. In this program, the trainers also help the inmates in developing social-emotional and cognitive skills as well.
Further JLCC has certain other programs such as Moral recognition therapy, associates for success programs which help the inmates immensely to change their criminal mentality and try to be part of the law-abiding community in the future.
And that is not all. This facility fully understands that lack of education is a contributing factor for a crime. Therefore, they have academic programs that are comparable to pre-school and high school diplomas. Also, they can go for a GED.

- A to K: Visiting hours on Saturdays according to levels.
- L to Z: Visiting hours on Sundays according to levels.
