Bloomsburg is a town and the county seat of Columbia County of Pennsylvania. It is the only incorporated town in Pennsylvania and is 4.69 square miles in size. The town was founded in the year 1802 and was earlier known as Bloom Township. It flourished after iron ore was discovered in the area. It was incorporated as a town on Match 4, 1870.
