This is a city located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio in the United States. It is located in a suburban region of Cleveland. The nickname of this city is “Crossroads of the nation” which originated due to the intersecting of the two major rail lines Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and the Southwestern Electric Line that were used to connect Cleveland and Wooster, Ohio. Strongsville was officially given the title of a township on February 25th, 1818, promoted to a village in 1923, and finally designated to a city in 1961. The area was named after John Stoughton Strong who was the leader of the group that first settled in the newly purchased Connecticut Western Reserve.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the total area of this city is 24.64 square miles out of which 24.63 square miles consist of land and the remaining 0.01 square miles is made up of water bodies. The eastern branch of the Rocky River enters the city of Strongsville from North Royalton and exits into Berea.

According to the 2010 census, the total number of people loving in Strongsville were 44,750 divided into 17,659 households and 12,563 families. The density of population here was 1816.9 inhabitants per square mile. A total of 18,476 housing units were located in the city which makes up a density of 750.1 per square mile.
The racial makeup of this city was 92% White, 4.1% Asians, 1.9% African Americans, 0.1% Native Americans, 0.4% made up of people of different races. 1.4% of the population belonged to two or more races while 2% of the population was made up of Hispanic or Latino races.
Of the 17,659 households, 31.5% had children who were under the age of 18 living with them, 60.5% were married couples that lived together, 7.4% were female only households that had no husband present, and 3.2% were male-only households with no wife present.
The median age in the city was 44.2 years. 23.3% of the residents were under the age of 18, 6.4% were between the ages of 18 and 24 and 21.6% were from the age of 25 to 44, the individuals aged between 45 and 64 were 32.5% while those that are 65 or older made up 16.1%. The gender makeup of this city was 51.4% female and 48.6% male.
