30-56. Strike against City prohibited.

(a) For the purpose of this section the term “strike” shall mean any strike or other concerted stoppage or slowdown of work, failure to report for duty, the willful absence from one’s position, or the abstinence in whole or in part from full, faithful and proper performance of the duties of employment for the purpose of inducing, influencing, or coercing a change in the conditions or compensation, or the rights, privileges or obligations of employment with the City.

(b) No person shall engage in, cause, instigate, aid, or participate in any strike against the City.

(c) No person shall direct, solicit, advise, encourage, or counsel any other person to strike against the City.

(d) Any person convicted of violating any provision hereof shall be guilty of a class “a” offense. Each day’s violation shall constitute a separate offense.

Opening soda bottles can only be done by a licensed engineer

This is a real head stretcher… in the city of Tulsa, you cannot enjoy a nice soda all willy nilly. You actually have to have a licensed engineer open the bottle for you!

If someone runs over and kills your dog, they have to pay for the disposal

Section 3-6 Animals killed or injured on rights-of-way.

"Notwithstanding any provisions herein to the contrary, animals injured or killed on or along public streets or rights-of-way shall be presumed to be or having been running at large. The animal control officer shall remove all such animals and, at his or her discretion, deliver those needing medical attention to a veterinarian or to the animal shelter. The owner of the animal shall be liable for all expenses of treatment, impoundment and of disposal, in addition to any other penalties imposed for violation of this chapter."
