Missouri is a state in the midwestern region of the United States. The capital of this state is Jefferson City which is located near the center of the state right on the Missouri River. The languages commonly spoken here are English that is spoken by 93.9% residents, 2.6% of residents speak Spanish, 0.4% speak German, and a handful of the residents living here speak Missouri French.
The Governor of Missouri is Mike Parson while the lieutenant governor is Mike Kehoe. The legislature here is the Missouri General Assembly which has the Senate as their upper house, and the lower house is made up of the House of Representatives. The US Senators from Missouri are Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt. Joshua David Hawley is an American lawyer and a Republican politician that is currently serving as the 42nd Attorney General of Missouri since 2017.

It was after Cahokia became the center of a regional trading center that the number of inhabitants started to decline and most of the decedents from here were gone before the arrival of the Europeans.
