According to 2015 data found in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona_Department_of_Corrections, there are 42643 inmates in the state prisons of Arizona. In addition, there are over 5466 prisoners who are either on parole or formally released.

Visitation Hours

For CB-1, CB-3, CB-4, CB-5, and CB-7 visits can be scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. CB-Kasson visits may be scheduled on Saturday and Sunday. Duration of the visit can be for two hours from 7:30 am to 9:30 am, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm or 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Management Information

The Arizona Department of Corrections or the ADC is the statutory authority over the state prisons in Arizona. The organization is headed by a Director. The office of the Director has offices such as Media Relations Office, Legislative Affairs, Legal Services, and Strategic Planning. There is a Deputy Director assisted by the offices of Victim Services, Human Resources and Development Group, Constituent Services/Inmate Facility and Liaison, Office of Inspector General and Emergency Preparedness. Administrative Services are headed by a Division Director and offices of Procurement, Financial Services, Engineering and Facilities, Information Technology and Planning, Budget and Research report to him.

Academic Programs

The Arizona Department of Corrections has put in place a comprehensive inmate education program. There are three well-defined program areas that are Functional Literacy Program, General Education Development, and Work-Based Education. Functional Literacy Program aims to improve basic skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics in those offenders who have shown poor understanding in these areas.

General Education Development or GED assistance program is provided to those offenders who had not passed the high school diploma or GED. The GED test is open for the general public as well. In the work-based education program, the objective is to develop the employability of the offenders. There are also special education programs for minor inmates or offenders who are under 22 years of age.

Appropriate reading materials are also made available to the inmates by the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Other Programs
Other programs include health services, religious services, community corrections, counseling and treatment services.
