Oklahoma State Prison Information
Also known as Oklahoma State Penitentiary, the prison has been operational since 1908, housing both medium security and maximum security prisoners. The facility has five housing units in total- one unit for prisoners on the death penalty, two units for medium security inmates, and two for minimum security inmates or the general population. In addition to this, the Oklahoma State Prison also houses the State's Death Chamber, along with a Disciplinary Unit for its segregated inmates.

Oklahoma State Prison Visitation Hours
Visits vary by each housing facility, and also by the security level of the inmate.
Unit A (Medium Security)
- Every Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- State Holidays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
- If there is a two day holiday, then visits will be open on the first day from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Unit C (Medium Security)
- Every Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- State Holidays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
- If there is a two day holiday, then visits in Unit C will be open on the second day from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Unit H (Maximum Security)
- Visitation hours are open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
- All-State Holidays, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The requester simply needs to log on to the website of ok.gov and search for the required inmate by typing in their first and last names. In addition to this, a requester can also sign up for Victim Information and Notification, which provides real-time updates about the whereabouts of an inmate, and whether or not their units have been changed.
