About the Upstate Prison:
The Upstate Correctional Facility was the seventieth state prison to be built in New York State but it

A visitor must arrive by 2 pm latest to be allowed into the facility, after which all entries are prohibited. For SHU inmates, visitors are allowed between 9 am and 3 pm on weekends and holidays.
All inmates are allowed up to four visitors at a time.
