How to Get a Birth Certificate in Louisiana?

Louisiana’s Office of Vital Records registers public records including birth records of only those births that took place in the state. This means an individual applying for a state of Louisiana birth certificate must submit a filled-in application form as well as valid identification and applicable fee, to receive the same.
