The Town of Wickenburg is in the Maricopa and Yavapai counties in the state of Arizona, USA, and lies at an elevation of 2,061 feet between the north-eastern Wickenburg Mountains and the Vulture Mountains in the south.
It is a 58-mile journey from state capital Phoenix and a 169-mile journey from Tucson. The town has a municipal planning area of 434.5 miles as in 2014 but has incorporated only 26.1 square miles.

The United States Census Bureau has estimated a population of 7,409 people in Wickenburg as on July 1, 2017. In 1990, the population stood at 4,515 people, which increased to 5,082 people in 2000, 6,363 people in 2010 and 6,629 people in 2014.
