Pernell McPhee Celebrity LifePernell McPhee is an American football player he plays the position of outside linebacker. He is currently ranked 149th among other professional football players. He was born on December 17, 1988, in the city of Orlando, Florida.
He is 6 feet and 3 inches tall and weighs 269 pounds. In his career, he has worked for Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins, and Baltimore Raven.
Pernell attended Pahokee High School in Florida for high school. He played high school football only for a year along with football he also played basketball in high school.
In his senior year, he scored a total of 75 tackles which included 19 quarterback sacks, 12 forced fumbles, and 35 tackles for loss.
He spent two years after high school in Itawamba Community College located in the state of Mississippi. He played a total of eighteenth games in the college during which, he bagged a total of 124 tackles out of which, 92 were solo these tackles include 4 Forced Fumbles, 32.5 sacks, 47 QB pressures and 73.5 Tackled For Loss.
After two years in community college, he transferred to Mississippi State University where he played 25 games and started in all of them.
He tallied a total of 91 tackles which included 7 sacks, 22 Tackled For Loss, 2 Forced Fumbles, 4 pass breakups, and 20 QB pressures. Out of the 91 tackles, 46 were solo tackles.
In the 2011 NFL draft, he got picked in the fifth round by the Baltimore Ravens. In his first season with the team, he played sixteen games in the regular season and tallied one forced fumble, 23 tackles, and 6 sacks. He continued to play for the Ravens till 2014.
In 2018, he signed a one year contract worth $1.8 million with the Washington Redskins where he played 13 games and tallied a total of 11 tackles out of which, 8 were solo tackles.
The following year, he played for the Ravens again but he was kept on reserve due to triceps injury.
In his professional career, he has played 116 games with 212 total tackles out of which, 164 were solo tackles, 48 assists, 34 sacks, 6 Forced Fumbles, 2 Fumbles Recovered with 24 Fumbles Recovered Yards, an Interception with 13 Fumbles Recovered Yards and Average Interception Yards of 13, 15 Passes Defended, 13 Long Interceptions, 26 kinds of Stuff with 45 Stuff Yards. He also has one Kicks Blocked but no Interception Touchdowns.
