Rudy Gay, born on August 17, 1986, in Baltimore County, Maryland in the United States of America is an American professional basketball player who plays for National Basketball Association in the San Antonio Spurs team. Rudy plays as a small forward/ power forward. He was selected in the 2006 NBA Draft in the first round under a common eighth number by the Houston Rockets Club.
Rudy Gay studied at the East Technical High School of Essex, Maryland and, after graduation, played for the Connecticut team.

In the year 2010, Rudy was made an ambassador for the Saint Jude fundraising program. The funds were to go to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis

He was only 12 when he started to play basketball As far as his education is concerned, Rudy attended Eastern Technical High school but later on, he transferred to Archbishop Spalding in Maryland. He graduated from the University of Connecticut.
